The word 'Religion' traditionally throws up words and concepts like God, Rituals and Rules, Sin, Reward, Punishment, After-life, Heaven, Hell, etc.

GROUP I: RELIGIONS THAT PREACH 'NO GOD'
Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism are not religions in the traditional sense; they do not preach any God; they do not stipulate rules for men to obey; they have no 'founder', no Head or Leader, no organisation etc. Hinduism is the root or the source of these religions.

GROUP II: RELIGIONS THAT PREACH A GOD
Judaism, Christianity and Islam, assert and preach the existence of a Supreme God who should be loved, feared, praised, worshipped or whatever; a set of 'facts' to accept and believe-in; a set of rules to obey and so on. Judaism may be considered to be the root of these religions.

Taoism is just a path; indicates a Way of Life..
